Just for that? I didn't say it was a poor song. I just think it sounded like a cracked note. If that makes me an "ass"hole then there is no hope for us. It seems like you are too caught up in the whole nasty youtube comment culture to reason with so I leave it there.

@kramrollin69 I don't know why that would be; the lyric is actually "put a call to you" and it's not edited out at the end of the song. Perhaps it's just a bad edit for commercial purposes.

Where can I find this mix? I know there are two different recordings but this sounds like the second version with different overdubs in some places and a more dynamic sound at the end.

Yeah, it's more punkish than the Beatles and has that pang of emotional desperation that the British stuff often lacked but it most certainly wouldn't have existed without the 'fab-four' or British Invasion in general.

Well, Jeff Lynne was in The Idle Race and that's who they sound like, just going by this song. I don't know who predated who.

I don't think 'daspletosaurs' had anything to do with it, they were separated by at least thirty million years. You would probably have a wave of different Carcharodontosaurs and more primitive Tyrannosaurs in the meantime.

It may have been closer to exellent if they hadn't left the best tracks off it.

It's funny how this song almost sounds like a Graham Gouldman penned track. It must have been the influences going around at the time, very much a 'British Invasion' type sound despite it being American.
