Jessie Galante resounds hot fire,energy. "Spitfire" fits her, too, as she's prone to outbursts...especially in her music. She's always done what she's wanted. Raised in a Sicilian household that exposed her to the music of her Italian heritage, she was a rebellious teenager, who was able to realize the outlet for her emotions by creating and performing soulful and powerful music.

Jessie became the first lady of rock in Buffalo in the 1980s with her band Actor. The group's song "Checkin' Out" is still played on the City's classic rock station, 97 Rock. Another station in town, the Fox had Jessie hosting the local talent show, BUFFALO LIX when she returned home after a few years rockin' in L.A with her band, Fire. The group's demos were produced by Michael Wagener (Alice Cooper, Sass Jordan, Queen, Extreme), and found airplay all over the world.

Back in Buffalo, Jessie connected with producer Larry Swist (Foreigner's Lou Gramm, Ike & Tina Turner, Spyro Gyra, Sly & the Family Stone). "I found her passion remarkable and became an instant fan." Swist says, "Jessie is tenacious in expressing herself. Her extraordinary stage presence and ability to explode with excitement in performance makes the Jessie experience the real deal."
He produced her first solo album, GESUA (Jessie's Sicilian name). Jessie and Larry moved to Holland and established a fanbase, "You don't need a record deal to build a following there," she remarks. L1 Netherlands Radio host Hubert Van Hoof cited Jessie' as a kin to Chaka Kahn and Joyce Kennedy of
Mother's Finest.

When she returned to Western New York, she gave her fans and folks in the Italian community an EP of
traditional/classic Italian songs from her childhood, also entitled GESUA, and then focused on SPITFIRE. Jessie's signature voice guides this album of hearty, classy and soulful American and European rock and roll. She collaborates with bands representing both sides of the Atlantic: America: bassist Jack Daley (Lenny Kravitz, Joss Stone, Janet Jackson, Everlast), drummer Frank Ferrer (Psychedelic Furs, Guns N' Roses, Tommy Stintson), and guitarist Rob Bailey (Billy Joel, Jive Jones, Mandy Moore, Anastacia,
Allen Touissant); and in-demand players from Hungary: guitarist Janos Szucs and Peter Raso, bassist Tibor Ferenczi, drummer Janos Takacs, who are in Jessie's band for her seasonal European excursions.

Co-produced by Swist and eight-time Grammy-award winner Mick Guzauski (mixed Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Anastacia, KISS, Celine Dion, Earth Wind & Fire), SPITFIRE's hard, old
school R&B influences are evident in every song. The bluesy "No Fool No More" (also Jessie's music video) which she wrote with Lee Horrocks, (writer and producer with hit makers Enrique iglesias, the Jonas Brothers). The pulsating and eruptive "Spitfire" co-written with Bailey, and covers of Sass Jordan's "High Road Easy" and Gladys Knight & the Pips' "I've Got To Use My Imagination." Jessie wrote the
straight-ahead rocker "Get Away" with Hungary's Raso. The lusty "Grown Man Cry" and "Go On Rain On Me" are also highlights, as is Jessie's signature, the emotional ballad "Mamma (I Get a Little Crazy)."
