I am fascinated by the ancient world, but I am certainly no expert on it. I did study Latin at school for 3 years and thoroughly enjoyed it, although I can barely remember anything other than Caecilius, his death at Pompeii and his son, Quintus, meeting King Cogidubnus. Three years well spent! It was a deeeelite to re-awaken my love of all things Roman when I purchased RTW from the Warehouse for $9.95 in September 09.

So, I've finished my first campaign as the Julii, and now venture into the world of Online Battles. I'll be online to play RTW a couple of times a week and will upload commentary videos of these battles, win or loss, one for one:

A video commentary for every game played on line!

Yes, I was inspired by ThePrinceOfMacedon to make my own video commentaries, and yes I do mispronounce several faction and unit names. When they fight for me... my soldiers get called all sorts of things, least of all their correctly pronounced names. Any complaints from them and they get a gladius in the back !

I am NOT a great RTW player and I am new to the online aspect of the game, so please don't bother to tell me how much my gameplay sucks. I am already well aware of that, thank you! I play for fun, and to learn. Not for the win. I am keen to play other like-minded RTW enthusiasts, especially in low denarii battles, historically realistic armies or interesting scenarios. Pimped-out armies over 10,000 denarii are of no interest to me.

For my video commentaries I use FRAPS to record my games, then add the voice over on review of the replay with Vegas Video.
My computer is an AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core 2.4GHz with 4 gig of ram and some kind of graphics card. I am not really sure what it is... it came with the computer. I am pleased to announce that know how to turn it (the computer) on and off :)
