The last Grand Master of the Sith order to still take an active role in shaping the galaxy, Darth Validus is almost a mythical figure. Very few outsiders even know his name, a name that is spoken in hushed tones within the various Sith orders. He appears as an armoured behemoth, although reluctant to engage in open combat. While the few other remaining Grand Masters doze and take little interest in the galaxy beyond their fortresses, Validus has been seen on many worlds speaking to many people; human and xeno alike. He's somewhat of a puppetmaster, prefering others to perform acts for him, pulling the strings from the shadows.

The other factions of the galaxy might have prefered one of the other Grand Masters to rouse and walk amongst them, as Validus is the most ancient of them and thus the least flexible; prefering to silence diplomacy with the barrel of a turbolaser battery. His methods can range from brilliant tactical mastery to downright brute savagery. Some would say he's quite mad, others would say he's a genius. He himself would say that he walks the fine line that separates the two.
