Tony Banks is surely the most underrated composer of all times. Certaily because he always had that low key atitude, that deep shyness before the cameras.

Last Train To London
Discovery (1979)
"Underneath the starry sky
Time was still but hours must really have rushed by
I didn't realize, but love was in her eyes
I really should have gone, but love went on and on"
That's what I love about this song.

John Lennon was completely out of his mind. How could they work like that ? They weren't touring for ...

I disagree about it being a "mundane" song, although I can understand what you mean. It's the most heartfelt ballad from that age, and it could have been released as a "piano and voice" take, or, if I were the producer, a little bit jazzy version featuring piano-bass-drums-vocals (it would have b...

Eric Clapton with RUN
Album: August
Year: 1986
with Phil Collins
Not only Phil Collins was "one of the biggest stars of that era", he was also a superb drummer, one has to forget the pop songs he loves to write and sing, and really listen to his creative and odd drumming. Clapton would never bring a weak drummer to his lineup, would he ?
