Q: What's so great about LEXUS? Isn't it just an overpriced Toyota?

A: Lexus is the number one luxury brand in America and has been for the last 11 years! A Lexus may have the dependable quality and reliability of a Toyota, but saying a Lexus is an overpriced Toyota is an untrue statement. Although Lexus is owned by Toyota, a Lexus is way more refined in interior comfort, ride quality and design. Compare a Lexus to its rivals: Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Acura, Infiniti, Cadillac and Even Lincoln and Buick if it makes you feel better. A Lexus surpasses all brands in reliability and fuel economy. Don't get me started with their great customer service (that I have experienced)


Q: What's the difference between the Lexus ES and the Toyota Camry besides price?

A: There are many differences but I'll start with design. The ES has a more elegant design rather than less appealing Camry design. If you step into the driver's seat of the ES you will realize that the cabin is much more luxurious. Even if you look at the Camry XLE with leather interior, the ES is still much more luxurious with more features and other nice features such as panoramic roof! When driving, the ES is much more quieter and smoother in terms of ride quality. The two vehicles may be on similar platforms but they are very different and you will see if you drive both cars.


Q: Where does Lexus stand in terms of performance and the fun-to-drive quality that they have been missing in there vehicles in the last couple of years?

A: Lexus is a growing brand and even though they don't have racing heritage like say Audi and BMW, but they are slowly and meticulously improving. In 2006, Lexus launched their F performance division as an in-house tuner company for there models such as BMW's M division and Mercedes-Benz's AMG division. The first F midel, the IS F, was a brand changer for Lexus. Many people took a different approach on the brand that used to be known as a boring brand for the elderly. Even the IS F was said to short of BMW's M3 and Mercedes-Benz's C63 AMG, Lexus still made their future look a little brighter. In 2009, Lexus Unveiled their $375,000 high-performance super coupe to the world. With a limited production run of 500 units, and a vicious 0-60 time of 3.7, this Lexus told the world that the brand meant business. This car received good reviews other than its price but many people still wouldn't buy a Lexus for performance. In the future, Lexus hopes to produce a GS-F, a high performance version of their mid-size sedan, to compete with BMW's M5, Mercedes-Benz's E63 AMG, Audi's S6, Jaguar's XF-R and Cadillac's CTS-V.
