Same pickups are in the Les Paul Studio. They should have put in Burstbuckers for the SG Standard.

Uhhh, Gibson hasn't used actual Pearl or shell for inlay on the Standard for maaannyy years.It's acrylic now. Go read the specs page on the Gibson site lol.

@urworstnightmare22 Actually, they cut it in two and chamber holes in it than glue it back together like a sandwich.

Great sound!! My LP Studio had the same pickups, but I swapped the 490R for a P94R.

@jbmannon Duncan's are terrible. That's the worst mistake people have is changing pickups in at $1,500 guitar for Seymour Duncan's lol.

@RockGuitarDave The Standard is only more expensive due to the flamed top, mother of pearl inlays (studio has acyclic inlays) , and binding work around the body and fingerboard. Though current standards don't even have M.O.P inlays anymore, just on the headstock.

Gibson's photograph, and look better in stage lights due to the Nitrocellulose paint refracting the light better.

Lol what are you talking about?? Trapezoid inlays ARE the standard fret marker inlays. The Custom has the block inlays.
