About this user

Goodwin Sands are a group of Dutch musicians who came together in the summer of 2009. The four band members draw from wide and interesting musical styles and influences, creating an atmospheric style of acoustic indiefolk.

After a successful first trip to Ireland in October 2009, the first CD "Builders & Artists" was recorded at the tail end of the same year. This featured 4 songs and has seen the band travel inside and outside of the Netherlands in the first half of 2010, including a first UK tour.

In July 2010 the band recorded their second CD in Antwerpen, Belgium. "Time well spent" will feature six new songs and will be released to co-incide with a heavy touring schedule this Autumn. Clifden Art's Week will see the band returning to the the West Coast of Ireland for the second time in as many years and in November the band will play their first shows in Germany and Belgium.
