Well, what he meant when he said "Expression", is dynamics. Hes playing always the same audibility. LIsten to Bert Janschs version, he plays loud and gentle, not just one audibility. You know what i mean?

When I first searched for Mississippi john hurt I thought its one more Blues Player that cant play guitar, but everybody says "he may not be good but he plays with soul". I hate those comments. You either are good or not. But MJH was just... magic. He plays superb and he sure has soul;-)
