Michael Bettine believes percussion is as much a spiritual journey mirroring life as it is anything. While he does not possess a paper saying he is a percussionist, he still considers himself one, as well as a composer. He enjoys existing on the fringe, exploring the relationship between vibration and spirituality.
Coming out of a progressive rock background, he constantly tries to forget all he knows so that he can serve the music, instead of serving the technique to make the music. He makes music for himself and hopes others will come along for the journey.
