In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, He was in the beginning with God, through Him all things were made and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life and the life was the light of men and the light shines in the dark. And the darkness does not comprend it. For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. But as many as received Him, He gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that beleived on His name. That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe with your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain: for the former things are passed away.
