This channel is dedicated to Islamic reform through returning to the Quran and hence rejecting the man made sources of law too many Muslims have taken as equivalent to God's revelation to mankind through the messenger Muhammad. This is itself advocated by God in the Quran itself. The Quran stated it is complete, fully detailed and that nothing has been left out of it. It also specifically states not to follow any other HADITH besides the Quran (yes the word hadith is specifically mentioned in the Quran). It also describes the role of the messener as nothing but to convey (the message). Quotes informing Muslims to follow only the Quran cn be subdivided into the following categories :
1)What the Quran says about following hadith besides the Quran : Did you know that the Quran has many quotations that explicitly forbid this using the very arabic word itself hadith? (7:185, 45:6, 77:50)
7:185 : Do they not look in the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all things that Allâh has created, and that it may be that the end of their lives is near. In what message (HADEETH) after this will they then believe? (Taqi-ud-Din Al Hilali/Khan translation)
45:6 These are the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, revelations, etc.) of Allâh, which We recite to you (O Muhammad SAW) with truth. Then in which speech (HADEETH) after Allâh and His Ayât will they believe?
77:50 Then in what statement (HADEETH) after this (the Qur'ân) will they believe?
2) What the Quran says about itself (that it is fully detailed as a source of religious law) 6:38, 12:111, 6:114, 18:109, 31:27
6:38 There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered.
12:111 Indeed in their stories, there is a lesson for men of understanding. It (the Qur'an) is not a forged statement but a confirmation of the Allâh's existing Books [the Taurât (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel) and other Scriptures of Allâh] and a detailed explanation of everything and a guide and a Mercy for the people who believe.
6:114 [Say (O Muhammad SAW)] "Shall I seek a judge other than Allâh while it is He Who has sent down unto you the Book (The Qur'ân), explained in detail." Those unto whom We gave the Scripture [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] know that it is revealed from your Lord in truth. So be not you of those who doubt.
18:109 Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind). "If the sea were ink for (writing) the Words of my Lord, surely, the sea would be exhausted before the Words of my Lord would be finished, even if we brought (another sea) like it for its aid."
31:27 And if all the trees on the earth were pens and the sea (were ink wherewith to write), with seven seas behind it to add to its (supply), yet the Words of Allâh would not be exhausted. Verily, Allâh is AllMighty, AllWise.
3) What the Qura says about the role of the messenger:
2:285 The Messenger (Muhammad SAW) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all).
5:99 The Messenger's duty [i.e. Our Messenger Muhammad SAW whom We have sent to you, (O mankind)] is but to convey (the Message). And Allâh knows all that you reveal and all that you conceal.
13:40 Whether We show you (O Muhammad SAW) part of what We have promised them or cause you to die, your duty is only to convey (the Message) and on Us is the reckoning.
To those who believe otherwise, search the Quran for the phrase 'sunnah of Muhammad'. Why is it not there? Because it is a MANMADE INVENTION.
In taking sources of law besides God Muslims condemn themselves to underacheiving. It is the Quran that gives us the means to have a high acheiving, just, moral and honest society. It is the Quran that challenges us to use rationality in all we do and to seek justification by OURSELVES before believing in anything.
In peace.
