@de132 He's not immediately and universally hilarious, but his humour is rather cathartic as he mischeviously expresses the political and cultural frustrations of a large number of Canadians. We don't have alot of Jon Stewarts up here. I suppose he's the closest we've got.

@mieery You'd probably dig Chuck Palahniuk's books. I'd say Survivor, Choke, or Fight Club. He also has a bearing of anti-postmodernism accented with dark absurdity.

Obviously, comedy is in the delivery, which is nuanced. Alot must be lost in translation. Be glad he got the laughs he did. Would we be able to enjoy a Japanese stand up comic if we had some understanding of Japanese through a limited exposure to their game shows and cartoons?
