I usually just blast my shocks out with some Performance plus 3 from reedy . gets all the dirt out. Then I let em sit over night. Then I add my oil . let the shocks sit on my builder stand for about 3 hours and then proceed to finish

With boiling I have had the tires just fall apart lol

I defiantly would not recommend that for racing due to the fact that the wheel base on that truck will not pass R.O.A.R Specs.

I have been racing for 13 years. never really got into the crawler and clod scene, but one thing I will say is the fact that you have some very entertaining videos that bring a wonderful light to the crawler scene . Thankyou

@LosihoTTT well you also have to understand that some landlords don't want the dangers that come with adding dirt to a building. Like oh IDK. MOLD. So they go with this option it's cheap and effective. BTw Go tell Chris Marci owner of RCMADNESS that indoor carpet is pathetic. He has 60-70 entries...

@dvlstang Right, but for the average racer this is WAY overkill.

zip ties work great and they are much cheaper.

@uaremypuppets Yes it is necessary. When some of these so called "toy Cars" is your eyes can range from 200 dollars up into about 3 normal house payments. So yea its worth it.

Verry nice idea. Great if you are charging the night before a race. Although I would still prefure to peak em on a single charger to ensure they are at optimum voltage and mah before I run my Heats and Mains. :)

BS, in 1999 when I got my traxxas rustler. I raced it. yep until 2 weeks latter it could no long take the table top at my local track and the shocks ripped out of the shock tower . That is why real rc racers stick with companies like associated , losi, mugen sakai, and others.

On my old T3, Believe it or not I use to have the same prob with the team kit. So what I did was got lunsfords for tie rods and the ends " Which poppped ever weekend" I changed to Dubro's . YES HELI DUBROS. Ball and nut . Super strong. Hope this helps.

You might want to remove your springs before adding oil. Also " Slowly compress" the piston until all the bubbles come out. You don't have to remove the spring . Personally after building shocks for the past 11 years I just find it to be easier and have a better built shock in the end.
