About this user

What I do: I write lyrics, rap, play keyboard and guitar, and make beats on Flstudio9. I can improvise on a handful of other instruments but I currently only own an MPK49 MIDI keyboard and an Ibanez hollowbody electric guitar.

Background: I was into music before I even left the womb. My mother used to play jazz music whenever I'd act up before I was born, and I'd chill right out. I've been doing various types of music since I could talk, and got heavily into hip hop and soul about 2 years ago. I fell in love with both of the artforms and attempted to find as many different artists as I could on the internet and elsewhere. I had always been a writer of sorts, but I didn't get serious about writing professional lyrics until late 2009. About a month later, I started rapping, and then picked up making beats in early 2010.

I practice my own material every day, because no matter how good you are at what you do or how long you've been doing it, you can always improve and hone your skills. I will be releasing my first instrumental mixtape, "Glyphick Remixes The Grocery Store" very soon. I'm also planning on releasing my first lyrical mixtape in the next year to start out with.

If you dig my work, it'd be greatly appreciated if you shoot me a comment and/or subscribe to my channel and I'll check out your videos/uploads. I'm looking to combine ideas with some people and get some feedback from different cats about my work.
