UM, the liquid fueled "main engines" run for six seconds before the SRBs are lit. This is done because they need to know the main engines are actually operating correctly before the SRBs are lit, because the SRBS cannot be stopped unless they are blown up.

Because the Glock (except for the 25, 28, and 17T) are tilting barrel designs. The barrel has to move down at the rear to allow the slide to move over it. This happens EVERY TIME the slide cycles. You only notice it when the magazine is empty and the slide locks back.
