About Me:

More or less retired. Some business interests still.
Country:
United Kingdom
Hobbies:
Football. Rugby. Building walls and other home improvements. Learning a few more words in various foreign languages. Learning from quite a number of YT correspondents, who usually know more about music than I do.
Movies:
Dimbleby's Question Time. Strictly Come Dancing.
Music:
Church choirboy from age 7-15, so that kind of music was an early and lasting influence. The Rock era of Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis was and remains exciting. Big fan of the Beatles, Beach Boys, Queen and Ella Fitzgerald. On the classical front it's hit and miss. Among all the Operatic Arias, Symphonies, Concertos and Lieder that I have heard there is much that appeals to me greatly - and some for which I have less enthusiasm. Lucia Popp, Fritz Wunderlich and Franco Corelli are among a sizable list of much admired singers. Try to avoid present-day teenager's dum dum music.
Books:
Anything on history and politics. Biographies of the famous people that I admire (and of some that are hard to admire).

Oh crap, I just understood which Lucia you're talking about ^^ Lucia Popp, and not Lucia di Lammermoor. Sorry about that :) What a fantastic voice she has!
