"Peter Chao, I hope you read this ! You're such a cutie and what all girls need ! I know in real life you are not all mean like you seem in your videos. I can tell you are a completely different person outside of YouTube-- very caring and respectful !
It's so cute how you love cooking for your girlfriend. xD I just came from the video where you do her make up. Hee hee. I can tell you love her a lot ! And I didn't know you could play the piano ! You play it very well and you're very talented."

"I have watched this movie more than 2 times, and each time I end up with my heart aching. It's just so sad but at the same time so beautiful. I even made my mom watch it, lol.
The very first time that I finished watching it, I was preventing myself from crying and was in shock. I didn't know what the heck to do with my life.
Trains pass every night behind my house, and I can't help but think about this movie. Their noises make my heart clench up."

Makoto Shinkai's latest project. Enjoy the glory of this short trailer that explains nothing, but gives you very pretty scenes to look at and very beautiful piano music to listen. The announced release date is "early 2007" I can't wait to see this masterpiece ^^
If you can't see the english subs well, here is the translation:
News Flash - Shinkai Makoto's Latest work.
Do you know? The speed at which cherry blossoms fall... At what speed must i live, To be able to see you again?
An animated chain of short stories - 5 centimeters per second. A chain of short stories about their distance.
Episode 1: The chosen cherry blossoms. Episode 2: Cosmonaut. Episode 3: Five centimeters per second.
Also Makoto Shinkai's feelings towards this new work:
"5 Centimeters Per Second" is a story drawn about a boy who acts as the axle of an animated chain of three separate, independent short stories. The setting of the story stretches from Japan of the early 1990's to Japan of today. As the boy's life changes, so do the places in the animation - ranging from Tokyo to other various places in the Kantou region.
In this work, there are no sci-fi, fantasy or any other fictional elements found commonly in many other animation works. In exchange for all of that, we are trying to instead display reality as it really is after having performed some very thorough location hunting.
Our everyday lives are indeed mostly not filled with dramatic ups and downs, shocking betrayals, or sudden revelations. However, in the end, despite all that, the world still continues to live on filled to the brim various beauties and richnesses.
Right now, we're aiming to make such a work that will catch those sides of reality mentioned above so that even after you're done watching the movie, you'll be able to take a new look at the landscapes you're so used to and see them shining more than they ever have before.
