A great film. I saw it at The State Cinema in Grays, Essex (England) sometime around 1969/1970.

I have just seen this on ESPN Classic. I remember it well at the time and it is marvellous to watch it again. The end celebration is fantastic.

This is my favourite version of this song. It sounds so spooky.

Like a scene from the film "Duel", except the truck is being followed by the car.

What a brilliant film this is. I saw it once on television in the UK, and that was 4-5 years ago. It is hardly ever broadcast here.

Not a Spurs fan, but I was lucky enough to see Alan Gilzean play several times for Tottenham when partnered with Jimmy Greaves. Two great players.

I remember that goal against Newcastle in 1969 and also the one against Leicester in 1968 when he beat five defenders.

I remember this hammering well. Leicester hardly lost that season and it shocked me that the defence were like statues that day.

...or rather 'the best game I ever saw' as, sadly, there's nothing left of the old ground.

I recall the first-ever showing of BBC's Match of the Day in 1964 (Liverpool v Arsenal) when a cat ran alongside the pitch.

I've bought the CD album now (Free Ride). It's really good and this track is perfect.

I should also like to add that this is also one of my favourite records. You just don't hear them like this anymore.

A superb record, one of my favourites and Ken Bruce just played it on BBC Radio 2. Memories of that hot summer of 1976.

What a superb film. I haven't seen it on television for years in the UK, so I do hope someone broadcasts it soon.

@nelco69. I just heard this being played on Gold (London) and had to turn the volume up, which I don't often do for a record.

The best version by far, and one of the best records of all time.

I also remember going to Dirty Dick's in the late 1970's. There was sawdust on the floor upstairs and I'm sure they had spittoons.

Perhaps someone could explain to me what the significance of 'the policeman son' is that the press continually harp on about. I don't understand.
