Im thinking of swapping my single carb 1.3 civic to a dual carb, is it just a simple swap?

i have been trying to do the single to twin carb swap, and really need some help, tried joining the 4th gen forum but i never got the second email confirming my account, is there anyway you can help?
i have put togeather a honda integra with a d15b vtec engine and a dual carby unit. It is all working really well with an after market fuel pump etc.. but can you inform me or point me in the right direction on how to hard wire the vtec solenoid up so i acually have vtec, at the mo i have no vetec at all.
any help would be appricated
