Biography

Giovanni was born near Perugia in Umbria, Central Italy. He studied music at the Conservatory in Perugia and gained his piano diploma in 1989. He then studied composition in Milan. During his studies he busied himself intensively with
Pop and Jazz.

Giovanni performed in Italy (Hotel Cala di Volpe, Sardinia, Grandhotel Quisisana, Capri), Germany (among others Riva Lounge Düsseldorf, Europe Hilton Hotels, Monaco Monte Carlo, Switzerland, France and Austria and America (concert in Los Angeles, Miami, Naples Florida.)

In Germany Giovanni has become a well-known pianist by playing at the most popular clubs and bars. He is not only a fantastic piano player but also a great singer. He is able to impress his audience with his wonderful voice and to sing everything from Jazz, Soul, R&B to the latest hits.

Giovanni has played concerts with the Symphonic Orchestra of the Conservatory Perugia, the Academia Chigiana Siena. He has participated at the Festival of the Music Nations for Chamber Music in Città di Castello/Italy, at the Conservatory in Vienna and numerous recitals show his sophisticated classical training.

Giovanni also played during the summer festival hosted by the former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl and at several big events organised by European companies like Metro AG, Porsche, Mercedes, Carat Espace advertising, Sachsenring Automobile, Ford, Siemens, Bosch, Borussia-Park-Stadion, Schalke Arena, etc.

Giovanni has worked as an arranger for various record companies for example in the United States with Giuseppe Cantarelli at Warner Studios Los Angeles, with the Tenor Edgar Taylor-Anderson at Regson Records Milan, in Italy (Giro Festival and San Remo Festival with Mino Reitano, Paolo Mengoli) and in Festivals throughout Germany. CD has been published at Sound and Silence Records "Giovanni - Io senza te", Enrique Tarde "Breaking through the shadows", Caroline Isabel Merz (Staatsoper Wien) "Cole Porter Songs'" at Cybele records and with Angelika Bastians "Joyful Holy Nights" under Jazz Network label.

Giovanni has also worked with Paul Kuhn during several sessions and on TV shows.

Currently Giovanni is working as a session piano player composing, recording and singing TV and Radio commercials at the WDR studios in Cologne, Escape Route music production - Duesseldorf, Cool Sound Studios, Sound Studio Service -- Milan, and also working at different clubs and events throughout Germany, UAE, America, Italy and France.
