indeed it its possible to revive the phoenician language, as well the rest of the forgotten semitic languages, because many of the semitic languages were easier than modern arabic ( written and spoken ARABIC) , I do not see why it should be so difficult, the difficulty lies in the reasons "why to revive them" and "for what revive them", I found some good reasons: - Beauty of the sound / -easier than arabic /- less sounds than arabic / -almost the same vocabulary as arabic / - abelity to read and learn from ancient sources / -to get a new old forgotten identity back

edomites, ammonites, moabites did not call themself canaanites, only the phoenicians called themself canaaanites, the edomites, ammonites, moabites are hebrews , but their language is related to the language of the canaanites, and these languages were spoken in the land canaan , that is why they are considered canaanite languages, but the only true canaanites are the phoenicians , who populated the whole levant plus north galilee and also some places in eastern canaan, many of the eastern phoenicians were more linked with the amorites, and their language still had more amorite elements, like hebrew.
