About GildaSnowden
Gilda Snowden is a Detroit artist and art professor, who is very much interested in sharing the richness of the arts communities in her area. Gilda also functions as the curator of the Detroit Repertory Theatre Gallery, where solo shows are given to Detroit-area artists in conjunction with the stage performances. Gilda recently showed paintings in the invitational MICHIGAN MASTERS at the Kresge Art Gallery in East Lansing, and is featured in STUDIOS & WORKSPACES OF AFRICAN AMERICAN ARTISTS-A NATIONAL VIEW by Dennis L.Forbes. In July of 2009 Gilda was selected as one of eighteen Metro Detroit artists to receive a Kresge Art Fellowship.
