I'm just like everybody else in here. I saw this movie on the CBS Saturday Night Movie about 3 times over three years between 1965 and 1968. I was 6 in 1965. I remember I had just seen "The Trouble With Angles" with Haley Mills, another strangely touching movie, and I saw Gigot on television the next night. I liked Gigot better. But I was highly influenced by this movie. It makes you look at everyone as someone's poor unloved child, The Haley Mills movie is like that too. That kind of movie making is not only unique to the 60's though, because Jackie Gleason nailed the persone with "Gigot". Thanks for posting!

I was just reading your about me section, I also have been looking for the poor soul christmas special, I think it was one of the lost episodes of the honeymooners. There is a guy on Youtube that posted the first few minutes of it, but that was it... I was a little irritated..cause you can't find that anywhere, and he won't post the whole episode it's a bit of a tease ya know?

Thank you for posting this movie, I made my Husband watch it with me, he's never seen it before. He loved it. I have been searching for this movie for years... I watched it when I was a little girl the one part that always stuck out for me was when he took the girl to feed the mouse. LOL what a rare classic that you can never find. Thank you, this was like an early christmas present for me. I can't thank you enough

Oh my Gosh. I have been dying for this movie to come out on DVD. I remember seeing this movie at Radio City Music Hall when they had movies and the Rocketts. I too was awe struck any always seem to miss it when its on tv. Why can they not get the rights and put this on dvd instead of the garbage thats available now. Thanks for the memories.

I have only been trying to explain this movie to friends, boyfriends, hell strangers for the past 30 years (or more I guess lol)!!!! No one seems to know what the hell I am talking about. I saw "Gigot" when I was a young child. I remember that he got into a fist fight at the carnival.

WOW....I've been wanting to see this movie for many many many years now. I first saw this movie as a child in the early 70's and was awe sturcked by Jackie's performance. Saw it a couple more times after that but then...nothing!! It seems like TV programmers just gave up on this classic and to top it all, you can not find it on VHS or DVD. I was soooooo glad to finally find it right here on good ol' Youtube :-)
Anyway, thank you ever so much again!!
