I grew up in Iowa farm country. Went to Catholic schools. Graduated high school and attended Washington University in St. Louis where I received my bachelors in Finance.

I started my own business 1986 after 12 years as a stock broker and have been self-employed ever since. In 1997 I was diagnosed with cancer and told I had about 6 months. The doctor, with his great beside manner said, "Put your life in order son". Talk about knocking the wind out of your sails!

Needless to say, he was wrong. I beat cancer and it has changed the way I think about life. Now, my main thing is helping people. Our activity is perfect for it. I would like to leave this life knowing I actually made some kind of difference.
