A Poem for America

The only place on earth that allows freedom of religion.

The light that dawned on the nation and her people yesterday January 20th, 2009, and the events that followed to grace the occasion by millions of people symbolized God's blessings to a dedicated orphan loved by the people.

In the home front, the baton of the economic crisis has been handed to the new leader President Barack Hussein Obama, by the outgoing President George W. Bush, who on one hand upheld his pledge to ensure national safety and security but lost popularity due to betrayals of trust that led to beleaguered wars, economic disparity, loss of jobs etc, that has burdened the war cry for a change effected through the ballots on November 4, 2008.

America the great, America the mighty, may your enemies crumble to the face of the earth. Your voice is raised up to the heavens so unique in color, can be heard all over the world; and you have moved people to come assemble under the greatest umbrella of Cosmos.

When you pray, your voice is favored before God the Almighty because you're not too proud to take in God's own; and, no matter how far they have traversed, or, from whence they came, thy arms are always outstretched, and ready to receive.

Generosity has always been your plan; thanks my friend. Although it's hard for some to say thanks or say good things about you, I want you to know that there are many grateful people who will always stand beside you; and God is always with you.

All the nations of the world are in your hands and under your care. There's a lot of chattering among the multitude. The people worry about the economic crisis and the president comes up with a 700 Billion bailout plan, to help Wall Street and Main Street survive the crunch. Stay blessed and ever strong.

You are great not by luck but through hard work. Blood, Sweat and Tears, you've given. Everything the Lord commands, you continue to give through great sacrifices.

To your mighty men and women who are helping to make this world a better place at home and abroad, we say...."Thank you."

Thank you America and God bless you and those illustrious souls you have taken into your bosom. May their souls rest in perfect peace.

To the leadership of this nation, grant them the valiant courage to stand before adversity and be the victors God appointed them to be. Stay united and remain focused because the eyes of the world are upon you.
