Occasionally you'll hear someone talk of the "ghosts of Michigan Stadium". Keith Jackson coined the phrase first. Go to the stadium on a Friday night in the fall and they're all there with you. They are the radio broadcasters like Bob Ufer sitting in the radio booth. They are the great coaches like Fielding Yost forever seated somewhere with a good view. They are the players from Heisman winners to the men who perhaps never got to play in a game but were always proud to be Michigan regardless. They're every fan that has entered the stadium with awe for one time or over one hundred times. Indeed Michigan Stadium is never empty. Dead or living, the ghosts are always there. You can feel them every time you're within those sacred walls be it alone or with 100,000 plus others. Their summation is what we call "The Great Michigan Spirit". This channel is dedicated to its immortal tradition.
