If you want a track BMW it's gotta be the Z3-4M or the M3 A standard Z4 is far to sloppy for the poise of the S2000

On such a masterpiece you do not replace the engine with anything other than a BMW unit. I think thats perfect as it is tbh. Reasonable power, great looks, probably good handling too, changing the engine would ruin the weight distribution.

Love the turbo chatter. I'm an ///M fan, but the cossie engine is on another level, the boost on that is epic. Cosworth = British engineering ;)

I'd only ever supercharge an M3. Yeah the turbo gives more power, but it's uncontrollable. You can get decent power and a somewhat linear delivery.

The lotus Is an amazing piece of kit, stick a 2ltr Audi S3 engine in it with a turbo and it'll embarrass a lot of cars. Meh the mustang sounds shite, if you want a nice V8 get the one outa the M3, an engineering master piece. Wanna cry about torque, get a S/C or stroke the beast.

My favorite is the E46, but the E30 is the purest. Basics and an amazing engine, ///M handling, thats all you need. if they weren't so expensive for a decent one I'd have one for a project.

Meh to the engine sound, personally I love it. it's unique, you can mistake that sound for anything else. One day... if all I own is that car I swear I will have one :P

No a stock supra doesn't have 276bhp, Japs have what they call a gentlemens agreement, which was not to boast about the power of the cars. You know what makes me laugh? people whining about a supercar being beat by a modded sports car. you go spend £100k on a ferrari... I'd spend £50k on the M3 and I'll be laughin ;)

I notice the power delivery is lumpy and a little unstable on the M, it's not always there O_o The Audi V8 is nice though. HPF need to Turbo the new M3 ;)

I find some comments funny, I mean, a car with twin turbo V6 with 520hp will win as smaller turbos spool faster, it's obvs pushing more power and it's an AWD drive train, against a relatively old, single turbo V6 with a RWD drive train. I'd still take the NSX any day.

An epic machine, but I bet there is a lot of wear on the engine running that kinda power from a 2ltr. It'll need a shit ton of maintenance. Still it's a beast :P

I prefer the coupe. M3 of course. The jap cars have shit tons more tronics on them than the Bimmer. also a full litre more engine capacity and an 8 speed box. The ISF may have more power but the BMW has natural balance, you bore the S65 like Dinan does and you've got 500hp of high revving German ...

Add a supercharger or a decent Single/twin turbo set up on the NSX and it'll Smoke A fair few of todays supercars and still handle like a beaut!

See, thing is, The M5 is a great piece of kit, but it's a sedan, it's alot heavier than the GTR I imagine. and anyone with common sense knows the GTR is twin turbo, rather the the N/A power of the V10. Two very different cars. Both are great, but the GTR is a true sports car, not a hardcore sedan...
