Assassin's Creed III Release: 30. Oktober 2012 PC, XBOX360, PS3
The game will be released Oktober30th, 2012. Ubisoft is working on this franchise since 3 years next to the addons.. The new Assassin is the son of a Native American woman and a British soldier. His calls himself Connor, but his birth name is Ratohnhaké:ton. Born into the Mohawk, he eventually crosses paths with the Assassins in his search for righteousness. Connor is quiet and stoic, letting actions speak for words rather than conversing with others. In contrast to Ezio, Connor is a freedom fighter who acts in the name of justice rather than on personal revenge.
Connor's primary allies are George Washington, Benjamin Franklin (who will be the daVInci equivalent) and Charles Lee.
The protagonist will fight on the American side, but we also will see the young Connor getting part of the native americans (mohawks), his village which gets attacked and the conflicts related from that will be part of the storyline.
The game is set between 1753 and 1783, meaning we will be playing a good chunk of Connor's life, about the timeframe of Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood combined. Settings will include Boston, New York and a large countryside called the Frontier. The Frontier will be the setting of about 1/3 of the game's missions, and will be the location of many events during the game. The Frontier will be about 1.5 times as big as Rome in Brotherhood. Bunker Hill, Valley Forge und Saratoga will also be part of the game. There will be brand new environments and all-new ways to exploit them to your advantage, according to the creative director Alex Hutchinson.
The cinematic presentations will extend beyond combat into a complex way of storytelling. The game will have actually have the Mohawk language (Iroquois) in some scenes. Mohawk was one of the languages of the native Americans.
Details: Desmond uses the Animus 3.0 , new visual design and Interface.
New Puzzle games . New economy system.
Season like summer or winter will let the game have weathereffects like sunshine or snow covered areas.
The weather also influence the behaviour, f.ex. troops will walk slower in snow-areas..
Combat & Stealth has been re-innovated. (Stealth = Social Stealth?), dual-wielding possible. Fights are supposed to be faster and more offensive..
Trees and natur-elements are now part of the game and can be climbed..
100% Synch will be rewarded with items now.
Checkpoints will help not to have replaying the missions over and over for 100% synching.
The Brotherhood will come back in a new and different form.
Replacement for the old factions mecenaries, Romani, thiefs or courtesans.
AC3 promise to satisfy veterans as well as noobs (sry beginner, lol).
Engine will be Anvil 2.0 , which allows massive battles with few thousand npcs as well as realizing detailed faces.
Whether Altair, Desmond or Ezio used the new fighting and other animations Coner is using in his movements!
Connor will take part in giant battles (One against all)
Maintopic will be Conners life & templar vs assassins.
Ubisoft want to make sure, templars are not the bad guys but guys who just walk along the wrong path.
French and native Americans will also have their role in the game.
Desmond Miles' Story will take place in New York.
Killing animals like bears and deers will let Connor skin the animals. The amount of skin that can be gained is related to the amount of hits needed to kill the animal.
Connor owns a Hidden Blade
Independant from the weather, the world changes during the time.
Which factions will be available to the player depends on the path the player has chosen.
A new , more stealthy System will allow to infiltrate dangerous areas more easily.
New database
New dungeons, churches and tombs to climb.
There is a fast traveling option, since there are are much and long travels necessary.
Den Defense is not longer part of the game.
Connors outfit will be more customizable then ever before.
Town and areas will be more athmospheric then in the previous parts.
More options will be available in groundbased freerunning, like jumping through windows.
Tomahawk and daggers allow double-conter and doublecombos.
Getting targets now is an automatic process. The target locking is gone, so the combat dynamics have changed.
Human shields are in, along with context sensitive actions.
New Sprintsystem

The development cycle was the longest compared to any Assassin's Creed game. It seems the game was developed simultaneously with the other spin-offs (Brotherhood and Revelations). AC3 has been in development for three years.
We don't have much details about the multiplayer yet, but they will be officially revealed soon by Ubisoft.
