U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss visited Mid Georgia Ambulance Service in Macon this afternoon where he announced he's seeking re-election.

"If you send me back for 6 more years, I'm gonna promise you again that we're gonna continue to work in a bipartisan way to make sure that we get positive things done for America," said Chambliss. "I ask you to send me back for 6 more years because the job is not done."

The Moultrie Republican began his political career in 1994 when he was elected to the U.S. Congress. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2002.

Senator Johnny Isakson was traveling with Chambliss.
