'Sticks Stones'
Music & Lyrics by George Montague

Sticks and stone could break your bones
But words will always be spat and thrown
Words will always be a friend
If you hold your breath and take a hand
Hold your breath and take a hand

Am I in over my head
Are you all in my (head)

Once upon a time we drew a line
And lay down arms and slept sublime
Lay down your arms be prepared
If you did you might be dead
If you try you might be dead

Is this the time
Once upon a time

Take it all to the world outside
Bare your scars with Pride

Take it all to the world outside
Bare your scars with Pride

Currently on his #notsobigTour playing piano, guitar and ukulele - doing solo shows with a bass-drum at his feet - or backed by members of his spectacular six-piece notsobigband: some of the UK's finest musicians on bass, drums, guitar, saxophone, trumpet and trombone - George has been playing venues throughout London, the Midlands and Southwest.

Giving exciting, energetic, engaging performances characterised by his originality and a genuine sense of joy, George has a true passion for playing his songs live - performing to an enthusiastic packed audience in the Jazz Arena at Cheltenham Jazz Festival, where he also won Decca Records 'Search for a New Jazz Star'.

Gigging and touring venues and festivals across the UK, including supporting Tim Minchin at The Eden Project as part of the London Cultural Olympiad, George plays his unique blend of original music: funk, jazz, rock and pop.

"Ben Folds-meets-Mika-meets-Jamie Cullum. George's brand of jazz-rock fusion is breathtaking with a talent for setting the brain on fire with the funkiest of piano riffs... his jazz-funk-soul odyssey, 'Have You Met George' is a staggering album, profiling the absurd abilities of the eponymous hero. It is a musical marvel and something of a masterpiece" Stephen Morris BBC News

"Daft, charming and original....Charismatic and talented pianist and songwriter George Montague ...a beautifully presented album" Tom Robinson BBC 6Music

"A true instrumentalist... The gift that keeps on giving..." Sam Bonham, BBC Introducing

"George Montague is phenomenal live!" Paul Moss BBC Introducing
