Ross, your reviews are becoming very professional. This one and the last Jaguar, very nicely done, especially considering the time you're allowed.

To me, all Jaguar have two big weaknesses that cannot be overcome in the current lines. (1)A much deserved reputation for poor reliability; and (2)no sign of a good AWD system.

You always drive with your elbow out the window !!?? LOL.... You need to grab a Rolls Royce owners manual and read it. Such a technique is defined by RR as untidy and unsafe. :-)

By the way, my everyday car is a 2010 Acura TL 6-6 SH-AWD that I've owned since November 2009. 45,000 miles and not a single complaint. If you have not driven SH-AWD, do not underestimate it...it's incredible and allows a big sedan to do things that you wouldn't imagine.

@bingoe4 Sunroof adds weight and unit body flexing. Lots of performance oriented cars and homologation specials did not have a sunroof option. E.g., DC2 ITR and DC5 ITR.

I can beat most of your Ross stories anytime you want to hear them. Let me tell you about the time he drove off Jefferson Circuit so hard his car bounced in the air and came down facing the wrong way...with the Honda Challenge champion sitting in the passenger seat.

I'm wondering whether a change to the default calendar alarms automatically pushes to the other iOS devices carrying the same ME address. :-) Basic, but I don't know and will have to go give it a try.

Your comment about being "quiet" : I think they had trouble deciding what age bracket would be the most interested in buying the car. $42,000 and "quiet" = I think they aimed at older middle class buyers.

@Taheki It's an important development even though it looks very much like the old 911. For one thing, they are finally putting Porsche's version of a performance oriented, vectoring AWD onto the street for the first time. I am looking forward to it. :-)

I always enjoy your reviews. Common sense, told from the regular person's perspective. You keep an open mind about almost anything...but it always comes back to whether it makes sense to a normal, regular person.

@ratmtbola : I am sorry, but I disagree. Consumer Reports specifically mentions the GLK as a vehicle that they cannot recommend because of its quality and reliability issues with purchasers.

The US system of measurement is not always the same as the Imperial system. For example, until Canada converted to the metric system, it always plagued our computations that the Imperial gallon was bigger than the US gallon.

@wordlyfe : I understand what you mean, I think, but maybe there is something to be said for a regular person's regular common sense and observations when it comes to giving an opinion about an automobile, especially a relatively cheap one designed to be purchased by poorer people. @bwright1991 I have 33,000 miles on a 2010 Acura TL 6-6 SH-AWD, and the Tech Package Navigation is great. Any voice system will take you a while to learn, but the basic answer is that the navigation is really quite good, the screen, the resolution, the commands, the interface. Very good.

Wow. That's not bad at all, considering the specifications. Almost seems TOO good, or slightly overcompensated, or something. The 12mp N8 seems only sightly better!

@GeorgeKnighton By "better" I mean that there seems to be a very minor hitch or delay when using the gestures, and this minor hitch or delay seems to affect all other operations. It's as if the gestures have some overhead, which overhead might be better handled by the iPad 2 with the increased RAM.

I daily carry an iPad (One) 3G w/64GB. I'm not looking for iOS improvements as much as I'm looking for better camera quality and higher resolution. If the iPad 2 had either or both of these things, it would have been a harder choice hanging onto my first generation iPad. :-)
