About Me:
Got somethin' here I want you all to know.
Born back in 1985 and born way to late. Music is my main interest and most of it that I enjoy was done long before I was born or when I was too young to appreciate it. So I was definitely born in the wrong generation.
People upload songs and videos that never get any recognition besides MAYBE be put on the 101th Greatest Hits album.. why can't it stay up on youtube? Sure, a few might copy the song right off youtube (but I been on youtube for several years and never done it.. I think many is the same). But don't "they" understand that when the views grow, the interest for the band grows and then they sellout shows, t-shirts and maybe CD's and LP's. They make money in the long run.. there is no doubt in my mind about that.
Reguardless of my age I have learned to open my mind for different kinds of music and I have no idea why people find it so funny (or important?) to make random comments on let's say a Metallica video about their love for 2Pac. OK, you prefer 2Pac before Metalllica.. but what's the poiint stating it there? "Nobody" who watches a Metalllica video will agree with you. Why don't you support 2Pac videos instead of thrasing Metallica? Big artists or bands will probably never go away, especially not because of some random youtube-comments...
I have created this "serious" youtube channel because of two reasons. First for myself so I easliy can find back to my favorites but also to help others discover the bands and music I hold close. Sure, Metalllica, Guns N' Roses and Bruce Springsteen are probably as big as ever ... but what about Blue Öyster Cult, Def Leppard and Danko Jones? Other great bands that deseve the light of the day alot more than what they get!
Led Zeppelin
Aerosmith
Queen
Thin Lizzy - Gary Moore
Van Halen
Guns N' Roses - Velvet Revolver
Deep Purple - Rainbow
Pink Floyd
Blue Öyster Cult
Alice Cooper
The Darkness
The Doors
The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
Jeff Beck
Judas Priest
Def Leppard
Soundgarden - Audioslave
Iron Maiden
Bruce Springsteen
Pearl Jam
The Rolling Stones
Foo Fighters
Danko Jones
Rush
Queens of the Stone Age
Kiss
Europe
R.E.M.
Eric Clapton
Scorpions
Rage Against The Machine
Nirvana
Stevie Ray Vaughan And Double Trouble
Metallica
Dire Straits
What happened to the loyalty to different bands. I take "Alice Cooper" as an example. Many people love the older stuff with the original group but disregard "all" of his "own" music.. which is ALOT. But still they call themshelves Alice Cooper fans. It's granted that Alice Cooper, The Rolling Stones, Kiss and alike have done some "lesser" albums and have quite a few songs that might be something for die-hard fans but is very mediocre to everyone else.. but at the end of the day don't you like to see these people live? don't you respect them for continuing all these years? If you call yourself a fan don't put them down and say that half of their material is "shit".. which is in most cases isn't. It's just different and you can't make 25 albums over decades all sounding as good as the best.
Much respect for those of you who have continued to read up to this point. Now I shall give a you treat. Here is some songs that by no means are "unfamous" but you might never heard them before depending on how far in the rock n' jungle you been. Eiither way, these songs haven't got the "overexposure" like Smoke on the Water (by Deep Purple), Sweet Child O' Mine (by Guns N' Roses) or Smells Like Teen Spirit (by Nirvana). These songs come recommended, even highly recommended and are among my personal favorites.
First off is some slower songs:
Alice Cooper - Salvation
Rainbow - Rainbow Eyes
Blue Öyster Cult - I Love The Night
Pearl Jam - Inside Job
Thin Lizzy - Wild One
Jeff Beck - Where Were You
Europe - In My Time
Aerosmith - Seasons of Wither
Then some which are faster and/or heavier:
The Rolling Stones - Monkey Man
Scorpions - The Sails of Charon
Rush - The Weapon
Gary Moore - Shapes Of Things To Come
Queen - Great King Rat
Van Halen - The Full Bug
Deep Purple - Picture of Innocence
Audioslave - Wide Awake
AC/DC was right when they once said:
Let There Be Rock
Country:
Sweden
