About Me:
 
I'm a hippie/flower child of the late '60's & early '70's. I hear rock music in my sleep which I think is a leftover from the stoned hippie days... you know, Iron Butterfly, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Three Dog Night, Grand Funk Railroad, Doobie Bros & Jefferson Airplane. Once it was in my blood, it was there to stay! In this past year I made the decision to do all the things I wish I had done in my younger days, so I'm trying to discover who I really am. Reflections on the past: It was a true revolution in the late '60's. Everyone had love beads & flowers in their hair, barefoot or wearing sandals. Peace signs sewn on your jeans. Let your hair grow & no shaving allowed. Everyone was brother or sister. I lived in a commune where the mantra was make love, not war. Express yourself, burn your bra (which I did) sing with the music & love the one you're with and each other. The downside was the viet nam war, protests by radial sects & the beatings by the police. If you had long hair, you were a pot smokin' hippie destined for jail. We sat in Central Park & watched Shakespeare in the Park in Louisville & protested the war downtown. Sometimes I wish I was back there groovin' & mellow, but with age comes knowledge. And now there's the internet, where all things are possible...
