Hatsune Miku? What?
Hatsune Miku (hah-TSOO-neh MEE-koo) is the most popular Japanese character in VOCALOID, a voice-synthesizing program in which artificial singing can be generated. She is the blue-green-haired girl singing the main vocals in this particular song. Accompanying her are Kasane Teto (kah-SAH-neh TEH-toh) and Akita Neru (ah-KEE-tah NEH-roo). Teto, the one with pink-red hair, comes from a freeware spin-off version of VOCALOID, called UTAU. Neru, the teen with yellow hair and the cellphone, is just a fan-made character—originally designed to be a troll—that has gotten popular.
So, umm... What's this song about anyway?
Miku gets so lured into her little world on the computer that she'll fall asleep at the monitor. She wakes up realizing she has no life. It's hard for her when the internet is so amazing, like an unknown world she has to explore. Miku's so obsessed with the computer she doesn't have enough time for laughing, crying, being angry, etc. The rest just explains how she has given up on everything, nothing matters, and her life sucks. Oh yeah, and she calls herself stupid a few times.
Can I find anymore songs like this?
Tons. If you search "Hatsune Miku" on YouTube, songs in which various composers used this voice will appear. Also, there are more VOCALOIDs than just Miku. If you are interested, I suggest Googling "VOCALOID" to learn about them.
What does baka mean?
Baka is an insult word for someone with low-intelligence. Though it is most commonly translated as stupid, idiot, or fool, it can be anything from a very rude meaning, like dumbass, to a more innocent meaning, like silly, depending on context and tone.
What are those two weird symbols in the title of this video? (驫麤)
These two kanji together basically mean "baka baka baka". The first one is made by three of 馬 ("ba"), while the second is three of 鹿 ("ka"). In other words, triple "baka". Thanks to orangebhuddy29 for clearing that up.
What the heck is "tetopettenson"?
It's a Japanese song using nonsense words, and tetopettenson doesn't actually have any meaning. This is just where Kasane Teto got her name from. If you're curios, search "テトペッテンソン" on YouTube.
