Gaya sings, plays the piano, writes, dances, and acts. Gaya's music is atmospheric and personal. It stems from her will to express herself. To understand, and to be understood.
Gaya has sung at occasions like the Kwakoe festival, in the Meervaart and the Pepsi Stage in Amsterdam, P60, at the Parade of the VU-Lustrum, in Winston International, Bitterzoet, Vertigo (the Vondelpark in Amsterdam), Oosterkade (Utrecht), radio shows like Amsterdam FM, Crossroads, Radio Rosa FM and Airplayradio.

Gaya had her own show in PleinTheater in Amsterdam, "There where I want to be". During this show, next to her songs, she brought some of her poetry and her theatre. Pictures of the evening can be found here.
Gaya also has a part in the Dutch TV serie 'EXIT', which is shooting at the moment. In January 2009 she played a part in FLOW, a new serie on the Dutch channel NPS. She also has a part in a new TV movie called 'Mengelmoes'. She has written the soundtrack for it.
The rest of her time, Gaya has decided to concentrate on studio recordings of her music. At the moment she is working with producers Dillon Lewis (RTL4, Re-play) and Ronald Molendijk (former owner of Nighttown, DJ, Soulvation).
