Warhammer 40k Tactics and strategy!

Tens of thousands broke through our defenses. A wave of unspeakable evil poured through the breached castle wall.
Those who were not killed by the assault found themselves being torn apart and devoured.

Twisted creatures with human forms but possessing heads and claws of beasts and an 8 pointed star branded into their skin now roared through the city delighting on the cries of the helpless.

With a prayer on our lips my men and I fell back into the city

Our fresh spring air was now drowned in the scent of blood and the screams of horror. The skies grew dark and heavy rain began to wash over the helpless city.

I regrouped my mind from the overwhelming events and prepared my men for a final charge. We would die so that others may escape to live.

But our prayers were answered.
Thundering pods fell from the sky crashing down, making the very ground beneath my feet shake.
It was as if the heavens rained down its vengeance.

From the pods giants clad in golden armor unleashed a furry unseen. without hesitation they threw themselves onto the enemy, their righteous indignation was beyond anything I have ever witnessed.

A cloaked giant stepped from the golden warriors a blade the size of a man griped in his left hand and from his right hand spewing lighting from his finger tips at the hordes bathing their flesh till but ash was left.

A giant creature taller then even the golden warriors came down upon the cloaked figure.

the beasts skin was red with rain water flowing down it's bat like wings. it had a head of a goat yet teeth of a vicious animal. it held an axe the size of the golden warriors and towered above its opponent. but the cloaked figure stood his ground.
the golden warriors pushing back the now roused hordes of creatures protecting their cloaked champion.

The beast and cloaked fighter now fell upon each other. movements hard to follow for they were so fast. yet the clash of their steel rang out like a mighty bell to be heard by all.

the cloaked figure's strength did not match his size. he parried blows from the beast with equal strength and the beast roared with approvement of his opponent.

the cloaked figure unleashed a violent flash of lighting that seem to be nullified by a brass skull mark in the beasts armor. so they fell upon each other yet again as the rain still danced around them.

the beast was roused by the battle striking heavier blows that the cloaked figure now struggled at deflecting

our people now watched as if the eternal struggle between good and evil was playing out before our very eyes.

the beast came down with a mighty strike as the cloaked figure lunged towards the beast. the mighty axe came down cleaving the cloaked figures arm from his body, but his lunge drove his blade deep into the beasts mouth and a flash of lightning exploded from the beasts head.

The headless beast toppled to the ground. The cloaked champion fell to one knee struggling to get up as blood running from his terrible wound.

the horde now panicking and running like the helpless people they once hunted was caught and destroyed by the golden warriors.
as our people cheered the golden warriors left returning to the heavens without a chance for our thanks.
But they left a single banner that held the marks of stars and stripes.
