Hi, my name is Debbie. I have been married for going on 32 years to my junior high sweetheart. We have 3 grown children and 7 grand-children. I am a Christian seeking my Hebraic roots. I love being with family & friends. Being from South Louisiana I am Cajun to the core. LOL!
On March 25, 2009 I had Laproscopic Gastric By-Pass with Roux en Y. On April 15, 2009 my husband, Mark, had Laproscopic Gastric Sleeve. We made this decision after many years of struggling with our health. Mark had open heart surgery when he was only 39, that was 10 years ago. He is diabetic and has had many other health issues. He has almost died at least 5 or 6 times. I have had 3 back surgeries and was still living in pain daily. I have a ton of other medical conditions, that are being corrected as the weight drops off. Mark doesn't get online as much as I do, so when I find things he may be interested in I show him. So, I am including him here on my YouTube, because I have shared so many videos of other sleeve/weight loss patients/recipes, etc to him. This life changing journey we are on together is not just about getting skinny, it's about getting healthy & fit. We want to enjoy life and our grand-children.
My highest weight in July 2007 was 271. I was on alot of steriods for my back and I felt horrible. When we started seeing Dr. Gary Stevens in Lafayette, LA. I was weighing 248, so I will use that as my starting weight.
