@ Wiki: I don't have the experience with MMO's that you do. I've only played FFXI and this so far. But I will agree that DC U. is fun as hell.

The PvP is what keeps it fresh for me in-between the DLCs and updates. I like doing the PvE content of course... like I really love the Green Lantern DLC missions... but after doing them for the 50th time the PvP stuff is what keeps me going.

And like you said, while it's not perfect... it's close enough considering it's a MMO and not strictly a fighting game. Hell, even some fighting games are more unbalanced than DC Universe, lol.

As a vet of over 30 (mostly pvp-enabled) MMOs, I've landed on DCUO to find it largely a level playing field. While riddled with exploits and bugs, as MMOs are, its combat mechanic appears solid so far to this new player's eyes.

There is simply no other pvp mmo out there at present that has the mix of character customization, combat mechanic and absence of pay-to-win that DCUO has.

Pathetic yes, and an indictment of the MMO producer community, yes. But DCUO is fun as hell, and the victims are aplenty.

@ SoulWarfare42: yep, I play at least an hour almost daily. I can see myself staying with this game for a long time so long as they keep adding fun missions and alerts and keep the bugs to a minimum.

its nice to know people are still playiing dc universe on ps3 (cancels browser and start loading dc universe online on PC)
