Reydon, a young man who spends his days playing 'Battle' in a perfect, utopian society, realises that he has grown tired of his faultless lifestyle and wants to find something more meaningful to achieve. However, his friend, the robot Kasta, has other ideas and tries to persuade him otherwise.
Something Real was filmed in one day on Digibeta and then four months in post production for the special effects, colour correction and sounds effects to be added. It is the first in a mooted trilogy of three science fiction shorts, all exploring the theme of the future of humanity and how it can survive when there is no longer any need for it to exist.

The 8th Doctor story 'The Blood of the Daleks': Just after leaving his companion Charlie behind the Doctor (Paul Mcgann) ventures on to other adventures on his own. However, this does not last long as a random young northern woman (Sheridan Smith) appears in his Tardis. Confused and annoyed the Doctor is forced to travel with the girl under the instrustions of the Time Lords, but why?.
The Doctor with his new companion crash land on the Human inhabited, Earth-like planet Red Rocket. The planet seems in trouble and need saving from it. Help is on it's as they're disstress signal is answered... by the Daleks. With the daleks gaining the trust of the planet they manage to turn the Doctor into public enemy number 1. The Doctor is in trouble as he can not even trust his own companion as she is taken in by the daleks lies...
