About this user
I am a human in search of balance..an individual attempting in vain to stave off his own impending death for a few decades, trying to live every day in the moment, with no expectations or hope for the future..just pure sensory and extrasomatic evidence that informs me I am still alive every morning and still able to exchange energy and awareness with this world for a while longer...For me, life is a magnificent and yet horrendous experience, a hybrid euphoria and depression, a nightmare and a long, enrapturing, mysterious lucid dream rolled into one. As an atheist, I know that my time on this planet with this impermanent conglomeration of cells is all too short...and I endeavor to make every day a bliss. My true passion in life is to absorb knowledge, to experience differing states of consciousness, and to engage in thought, whether the thoughts be of reason or emotion..I only wish to contribute to this strange and beautiful place we call Earth, but as of yet I have not the means to do so...
My Religion:
My religion is Science.
Truth is my god.
Reason is my creed.
Inquiry is my prayer.
The euphoria of discovery,
the multiplication of thought,
and the ceaseless combat
between fact and error
is my communion with divinity.

"The sufferings of the multitudes are as the agonies of gnawing pain, and in the mouth of society there are many decayed and ailing teeth. But society declines the careful and patient remedy, satisfying itself with polishing the exteriors and stuffing them with resplendent, glittering gold that blinds the eye to the decay beyond. But the patient cannot blind himself to the continuing pain..."
~ Kahlil Gibran

"Man, I see in Fight Club the strongest and smartest men who've ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see it squandered. God damn it, an entire generation pumping gas, waiting tables — slaves with white collars. Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need. We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our great war is a spiritual war. Our great depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars, but we won't. We're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off."
~Tyler Durden (i.e. Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club)
