"Before the battle of Badme I used to believe that the ethiopian army was fragmented along lines of nationality and dominated by Tigreans, and that it was weak as a result. I also believed that the Oromoya lands were about to be independent (like Eritrea) and that the Amharas don't like the Tigreans...that each nation is on its own.
