I'm open minded to the idea that close minded people might just be ignorant or misinformed. But I'm close minded to the idea that I might not be open minded. Oh yea did I mention I'm stubborn?
I am NOT a Democrat. I am NOT a Republican. I think we should do away with party politics in America. That way, it would do away with unfair bullying in Washington, and [politically] elsewhere. It would force everyone to listen to each other as individuals. People would no longer be able to jump the gun on issues or judge others by the party symbol they hide behind. Instead, politicians would have to identify their stance on specific issues, and think about the best way to approach problems, taxation, legislation, laws, etc. Congress would have to vote on bills they actually read and understood, and not by what their party leader told them to do.
Oh yea, and Democrats would no longer be able to demonize people as republicans, and vise versa. Rush Limbaugh would only be a talk show host, not the "Voice of the Republican party." The "Bush Administration" would stop being the excuse every "Democrat" has to win an argument. I also know this will probably never happen, but it should.
Final Thought: I think we should tax churches and synagogues. I read through an independent source, that if we taxed churches and synagogues in this country, we would virtually eliminate the National Debt overnight. I'm sorry, did someone say Health-care Crisis?
