Gorgeous Industries is a cdr/ art based record company from Toronto Ontario Canada obsessed with the creativity in, and evolution of hardcore punk. Gorgeous Industries draws heavily from the mid-90's era of D.I.Y. hardcore influenced by labels of that time, The Great American Steak Religion (Canada), King Of The Monsters (USA), and Level Plane (USA) to name but a few. Art direction is big in the Gorgeous Industries practice taking an almost anti-art approach in all packaging, promotion and merchandise. Graphically, Gorgeous is inspired by raw street art and any 4 year olds uninhibited crayon scribbles. Musically, Gorgeous is drawn to jagged, screamy, hinting at melody bands.
