I have always heard the terms hard and soft cast I guess I never bothered to really learn what they meant, thanks for teaching me something I didn't actually know I wanted to learn.

@slowem1 You are correct, I see your question was already answered but more specifically the LT1 is more or less a standard small block Chevy (the coolant flow is different and a couple other things) were as the LS1 is an completely new design.

@8320884 I live in KS as well, i personally don't like to hear other peoples stereo, especially when its hip hop garbage but I'm with you on the Harley thing, if my hot rod was that loud I would be getting tickets left and right.

@SuperSmoker12345 Actually I think it would have been more like $15000 then. And I'd believe $100 a month, considering a brand new Chevy Sedan was right around $1000 then.

@sunbaskingman Ruger's Mini-14 (and 30) is basically a scaled down M-14 (hence the name), the M-14 itself is a highly modified M1 Garand. So Ruger didn't get "inspired" by the Garand, they made a tiny version of it.

I cant work the bolt on mine with the rifle still shouldered, the rear of the bolt will hit my nose.

@SaskatoonRedneck He needs to clean it then. I have a chinese SKS, i have put well over 1000 rounds through it and never had a jam. I clean it every time i shoot and keep it oiled up.

@Agentscar3crow48 Action type has no effect on knock down power what-so-ever. A .308 (7.62x51NATO) M40 rifle will have the exact same terminal effect as an M21. And this Dragunov has slightly more bullet energy the the M40 due to more case capacity and ever so slightly larger bullet.

I don't agree with digging them up, if you want to find them great, but when you do cover them back up, say a prayer for them and place a memorial marker.

@JdmTheMilitaryMan Its got a selector switch. Actually the Germans generally weren't suppost to shoot it full auto except in emergency situations like holding off a charge while they got the machine gun loaded or whiled being attacked by greatly outnumbering forces and such.

@Tcatracing Yes I know, they are all part of the LS engine family. I put big block in quotation marks because the LS7 is the classic 427 Big Block displacement. The 5.3 truck motor is heavier because it has an iron block but they make an aluminum crate motor don't they?

You could get the S2000 to out-run the R8 for half the price. My view of "supercars" is you are paying for a status symbol, not raw driving performance.

@908LuX973 Well besides probably being a fun gun to shoot and a good conversation piece its more accurate then your run of the mill semi-auto. Most semi-autos in 7.62x39mm arn't known for precision. Thoes would be my reasons for owning one, still don't think I would actually buy it though.
