It is very important to understand the scientific explanation of ibogaine that was prevalent from 1994 to 2009 -- that the actual anti-addictive effect came from a long-lived metabolite (nor-ibogaine) that elevated mood by lifting serotonin levels while weakly binding to opioid receptors "to pre-empt cravings". You must understand this or try to. Like many explanations this on was only partially true.
In 2005 a University of California researcher, Dorit Ron, discovered the reason ibogaine is effective for the whole range of abused substance, including meth-amphetamine and cocaine. Within 6 hrs it causes a 12-fold increase in the expression of a growth factor, GDNF, that not only re-sprouts dopamine neurons but back-signals to cell nucleii telling them to make more GDNF, so that neural regeneration persists even after ibogaine washes out of the body, accounting for its persistent effect.
So ibogaine's effect go thru three stages:
1) A combination of n-methyl-d-aspartate blockade (like ketamine), alpha-3-beta-4 nicotinic acetyl-choline blockade (like wellbutrin) and kappa opiate activity (like salvia divinorum, makes you feel your own endorphins again) knocks out withdrawal in 30 minutes, craving in 45 minutes...too soon for noribogaine to really get going.
2) Flood dose of ibogaine overpowers the liver and depots in body fat (being lipophilic, as the desmethylated, water-soluable nor-ibogaine is not) slowly leaking out and turning into the nor form thru the action of enzymes the blood, so the addict gets this great serotonin high for 6 to 12 weeks helping with mood.
3) Within 48 hrs of taking ibogaine neurons all over the brain are growing new receptors so you don't need artificially high levels of your drug of abuse to have normal dopamine function. This is the most important effect, since without dopamine, most addicts feel they can't get anything started, and eventually relapse.
I bogaine has a cure rate of up-to 80% success rate

To become some type of healer, you don't *have* to take classes or go to school because in essence, every single one of us is already activated to do healing work. It's just that most of us have forgotten to some degree. We all have the ability to hone in on our intuition, psychic abilities, etc...yet sometimes it's a good idea to take classes/ courses if you're wanting to get more of a solid foundation or if you're wanting to learn specific tools. Listen to your inner guidance as to whether or not taking classes/ going to school is your next step, or if you feel guided to simply explore and learn on your own. Perhaps both! :)
There are many different holistic schools, programs, and classes out there that vary in length, intensity and subject matter, so the nutrition schools I mentioned are simply examples of schools that provide a good foundation for anyone wanting to pursue an alternative, holistic nutrition....which is superior imo to a lot of conventional nutrition programs for a few dozens reasons. BTW, you can get receive these more holistic educations within a relatively short period of time, and usually for a fraction of the amount of money you'd spend to get a "degree" from your typical conventional college/ university. Remember, JUST because you don't go to school for years and years, it doesn't automatically mean you are less qualified to help people! Yes, gaining practical knowledge is important, but what's just as important is your wise, innate intelligence & intuition, your OWN exploration/ study/ life experience and your passion & desire to genuinely help. :)
Not everyone wants to gain more knowledge in nutrition. Some people would prefer to further their development with something relating more to energy healing or metaphysical sciences.
Even though there is a difference between divine guidance/ intuition VS. ego/ fear, I do feel that *essentially* there are no right or wrongs. Life is so short, so transient! We're here to create, learn, grow, EXPAND...and *remember* who we really are, which I feel is God, or infinite love & light...or whatever you want to call it. So even if your choice leads to more challenges, well, ESSENTIALLY, its all good because you still get to learn and grow because of that experience.
It's important to not take life so seriously because at a deeper, or higher level, you know that you live ETERNALLY...you are PURE LOVE, INFINITE...you always have been, always will be, and this human experience is just that...an experience. So make the most of it! Life CAN be a magical playground if we *choose* to see it that way!
Follow the guidance of your heart/ intuition/ higher self/ divine guidance as much as you can, and when you do fall down, pick yourself right back up and tune back into that wise, divine guidance because it wants to help you make this life the most love-filled, joyful, exciting, and EXPANSIVE life ever!!! I really feel that what humanity is being called to do right now is to create "heaven on earth"... We all have that ability right now, and it comes through LISTENING to your heart or to that intuitive voice for starters, and taking some kind of action! You KNOW what to do!!! :) TRUST!
