Ghost Hunters of Rochester was founded in October of 2008, in order to find answers to paranormal phenomenon through historic and scientific investigation, and also assist our local community. Since then we have investigated several locations across the local Rochester area and consider our results to be more than satisfying. In the past now we have caught a couple of unexplainable EVPs (Electronic voice phenomena) that are voices captured on a tape recorder that we did not hear while on location, strange photographs with ghostly manifestations such as orbs, and a few video clips. What do we do for an investigation? We start by researching the location to find out what may cause or be causing a haunting on the property, from this we plan how we will carry out the investigation. We then hypothesize or predict what sort of activity we may encounter and round up the proper equipment for the job. Then the investigation; where we set up certain equipment such as tape recorders and IR motion sensor trail cameras, and do walkthroughs with equipment such as video cameras and EMF meters (electromagnetic field meters) which spirits are said to disrupt. After the investigation we analyze all the data that we collected and draw up our conclusions with the potential evidence we find. The founder is currently working on a book about the places we have investigated in the past and present and we hope to have it released by this Halloween. In the future we hope to raise the awareness in our community about our group and continue to help those who are haunted.
