Please help me get in touch with Dr. Anthony Ingraffea, as we are facing fracking issues here in Louisiana. We need help to convince our local government officials, as the oil companies are claiming "we've been fracking since 1945" (so whats the big deal?) and we are going deeper, 13000 feet so there is no way anyone's water will be affected. They have brought in their (paid) engineers and we need to have experts to explain the reality to the city and other officials. Can anyone offer advice, or help us get in touch with Dr. Ingraffea--maybe his email or phone no, so we can contact him, or other experts in this field?

I find the way the information was brought to the SRBC to be the wrong way to do it. Were there attempts to address the SRBC before their decision? All you succeeded in doing was driving the board members into an executive decision, where they made their choices and then came back and hammered it through.
IF there is legality issues like the one woman was quoting from the constitution (Which one? State or federal?), then a lawyer would be most useful.
I think everyone needs to be educated before decisions are made, and that education has to come from all sides: Local, Regional & Federal Governing Bodies, Corporations, Educational & Research groups and more.
