Georgia Bioscience Technology Institute

The Georgia Bioscience Technology Institute (GBTI) is a collaborative effort between the Biotechnology Program at Athens Technical College and the Bioscience Program at Gwinnett Technical College to prepare workers for the exciting Life Science industry.

Ultimately, you will learn to think like a scientist. You will develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, and become experienced in working with others in teams. Because you'll be spending a lot of time in the lab, you will gain a great deal of skill in actually doing what employers are looking for being able to skillfully perform scientific procedures used in the biotechnology workplace. GBTI also offers students the opportunity to perform internships with biotechnology companies in the area, so that you can find out even more about the field and facilitate your entry into it upon graduation.
