Hello You, who stumbled across my channel
... and many thanks that you did :)
I'm a self-taught singer/songwriter and I wrote songs that no one will ever hear ... lol (well, near enough)
I used to have lots of musical ambitions (many years ago) and I met some interesting people. But unfortunately I never got to get together with anyone in a meaningful way. I would have loved to mix my ideas with other's and see what comes of it ...
But, it so happened that everything here remains to be played and sung and done by myself ... guess it's alright because at least I did my songs, even though I did them on my own

About Me:
Yet I didn't take up lessons in either because I believed that it should all come from within myself and from my heart. In a way this was just typical for me - I always wanted to do things my own way.
So I started to teach myself in art and on piano and guitar (gave it a try with some other instruments too), and I must admit that I never took the time to find out about names of chords, notes or keys ... I just played 'by ear' ... and I preferred to play things the way they came to me. If it sounded alright, it was alright with me. The only thing I always had an issue with was my singing - I felt quite shy at the microphone and I didn't like my voice.
Initially I only played simple covers of songs that I liked. Then, from around 16, I gradually began to write my own tunes and songs ...
Several years later I started to experiment with a 4Track, which gave me a completely new 'playing field'.
As said, music always meant a lot to me - and (unlike so many things in my life) it's something that no one could take away from me.
For many years my songs just sat around in a drawer on old 4Track Tapes and Mono cassettes. I never imagined that one day a thing like YouTube would come along and give my recordings a new life. (I'm honestly glad now that I held on to even the silliest old recordings - some of which date right back to my teens and very early twenties)
Sorry that my song videos are often in poor sound quality - and only show photos, (many of which I took myself) but, as all my uploads are copied from old audio tapes, I don't have any footage of myself when I was playing and singing those songs.
(but I will show myself in 'motion' sooner or later)
Okay - been a lot of talking about myself. Hope it wasn't too boring ... big thanks if you cared to read through it
Band Members:
Just me - All written, played, sung and done by 'Me' ...the famous one-woman-band, LOL (Well, there are some Covers I did - and I specify this in my uploads)
Influences:
My first influence as a kid were The Beatles (including their ensuing Solo careers) - and many other bands and artists. Just too many to list. And Leo Kottke awoke my love for 12 string. It has such a rich and unique sound. I usually play fingerstyle, and I think that my 12string gives most my songs an added, almost magical quality
Music:
I have no favorite bands or artists as there are so many who's songs and works I enjoy and admire... including many great artists who upload their original material (and covers) here on YouTube.
